TE PUNA HAPORI
CLIENT: Naylor Love
TONNES: Approximately 350
LOCATION: Whanganui
JOB TYPE: Structural Steel
Around 350 tonnes of structural steel went into Te Puna Hapori, Whanganui's new courthouse. Patton Engineering designed, fabricated, painted and installed the full steel package.
The project was developed alongside iwi, hapū and the wider Whanganui community. It is part of a broader vision for an accessible, supportive and wellbeing-focused environment. Patton handled design, fabrication, surface protection and installation. Each stage fed straight into the next, so the steelwork stayed consistent from the workshop to the site.
We worked alongside iwi, main contractor Naylor Love, architect Jasmax and WSP to help bring the vision to life. A significant project for Whanganui, and a strong example of what collaboration can achieve.
